Samsung Galaxy S3 Designed To Take Care Of Its Owner With S-Health

Watch Your Figure with the GS3: Samsung Launches S-Health to Help People Monitor Their Weight, Blood Pressure and Sugar

Korean tech giant Samsung has launched S-Health, an app for the newly-released Samsung Galaxy S3, that helps users monitor their blood pressure, weight and blood sugar levels from their phone.

Samsung Galaxy S3 S-Health app launched

The app was first announced at Samsung’s Galaxy S3 official unveiling in May this year, and the app syncs with blood glucose and blood pressure monitors from Omron, A&D and Lifescan via Bluetooth or USB depending. S-Health stores the readings from these monitors so the user can view and track them over time, as well as share them with contacts and social media.

The main idea is for users to set themselves – and each other – goals and keep track of their progress towards them. S-Health is reportedly launching in the US, South Korea and five European countries. It can be downloaded from the Samsung App Store or from the More Services link on the Samsung Galaxy S3.

While it may not be as popular as the S-Beam, S-Voice or even Smart Stay app, the S-Health app is innovative and we can see it catching on in the market over time. So if you’re health conscious, or want to start being, give the S-Health app a shot.
