Samsung Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Roadmap For Existing Phones & Tablets Coming ‘Soon’

Samsung has stated that updates to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean are coming very soon. This follows on from the comments made yesterday by HTC surrounding updates. Samsung had released the statement to PocketNow.

Samsung Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update roadmap coming soon

The short statement said that they were going to be announcing which devices were going to get the Jellly Bean update. Samsung are leaders in the Android community thanks to them being the largest manufacturer of phones and having the best in class, Galaxy S3, among other handsets. The statement went on to say that they have delivered the most Nexus branded lead OS devices and said that they were pleased that Google would be bringing the update to the Nexus and the Nexus S so that their customers would get to enjoy the update first.

This of course is in line with the comments that HTC made and which we will see from all carriers and manufacturers of phones when it comes to the update. Of course it has only been a little over 48 hours since the announcement of the update was made, but there is no doubt that Samsung will be working to bring Jelly Bean to their Galaxy S3 handset.

It would be nice if all the handsets that got the Ice Cream Sandwich update would get updated to Jelly Bean too and that’s all we can hope for until we hear more news.
