Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update available in Q4

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean comes with numerous enhancements over its predecessor, including smoother animations and user interface, along with better touch responsiveness. Another updated feature is the frame rate, which is now 60 frames per second. Google have shown demos of the widgets redesign which now scale intelligently with the other user interface elements. It also brings a predictive keyboard which takes voice commands. The notifications have also had a facelift and are fully customizable, expandable and can be collapsed easily.

This was a feature that execs at Google were keen to show off during at the I/O where they showed notifications expanding and providing more information towards the top of the list and showing how they could be expanded and minimized with gestures.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean also has improvements to the voice search and works in much the same way as the Siri voice navigation from Apple. There is also a new feature named Google Now, which was also shown off at the event. The search product makes use of cards which can be customized. These could be such as sports or flights and would allow users to keep up to date with information that they consider to be important. The app also provides personal assistant like features. An example of this would be to keep people who are running late up to date with travel information, or provide the latest sports scores for those who have a favorite team.
