Lamborghini are more known for their super fast cars than they are phones and tablets but they are moving into the world of luxury tech. As you might expect from a car manufacturer who designs some of the world’s sexiest and most powerful supercars, the tablets and phones will have the same sleekness, not to mention high price tags.
Lamborghini Android smartphone & tablet sound fast but can’t compete with likes of Samsung Galaxy S3
The Lamborghini TL700 smartphone will come with the Android operating system. Lamborghini have steered away from the typical use of diamonds and gold in the design of the phone, instead going for luxury materials including crocodile skin. Sources have said that the handsets may be available in different varieties and even that the customer may be able to request certain custom specifications for their phone.
The Lamborghini smartphone will run the Android 2.3 Gingerbread and have a WVGA sapphire crystal display of 3.7 inches and it should have a Qualcomm processor. However at this moment in time Lamborghini are keeping quiet about the power of the processor. It is thought that the camera on the back will be 5 megapixels with a 2 megapixel on the front. The phone comes with 4GB internal memory and a 1,400 mAh battery. Other specs have not been released but it is thought to cost around $2,750.
The tablet from Lamborghini will follow in the design of the smartphone and will set you back around $2,300. This is a little disappointing as the specs of the tablet put it below an average mid-range tablet. It comes with Android 2.3, has a 1024×768 9.7 inch sapphire crystal screen, 512MB RAM and a 1.2 GHz processor from Qualcomm. From a car manufacturer such as Lamborghini one would have thought that their devices should have packed as much power as their cars, but this is not so.
While Lamborghini maybe one of the fastest cars on the road, in the tech world the fastest title goes to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X.
