US Samsung Galaxy S3 Immune To Apple Unlike One X

According to the folks over at HuffingtonPost, Samsung have announced that their Galaxy S3 will be available in the US as planned despite Apple filing an injunction with US courts to stop sales of the device.

US: Samsung Galaxy S3 Will Not Suffer Same Fate As HTC One X in the hands of Apple

Samsung have said that the request by Apple holds no merit and the South Korean firm intend to oppose the request of Apple vigorously. The company also said in a recent statement that they wanted to assure consumers in the US that the launch date and sales of the anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 would go ahead as planned and the device would not be delayed. Some parts of the world already have the device, while others saw delays due to problems with the battery compartment of the Pebble blue version of the phone. In the US it is thought the handset will be in stores later this month.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD screen which makes it one of the largest screens on any phone that isn’t classified a phablet. The closest being the 4.7 inch of the HTC One X.

Apple of course is already doing battle in the courts for patents and only last week a lawyer for Apple said that they may seek a legal order to stop the launch of the Galaxy S3 in the US. On the other hand Lucy Koh, US District Judge said that she had a lot of cases and if Apple decided to get a restraining order it would more than likely delay the trial date in July regarding different Samsung phones, along with the Galaxy Tab 10.1. We’ve already seen what Apple can do when it managed to temporarily have the sales of the AT&T HTC One X and Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE sales banned here in the US.
