Samsung Galaxy S3: Why Does Everybody Want One?

There is not much longer to wait now until the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S3. The phone will release in Europe at the end of May and sometime in the summer in the USA. Already the Samsung Galaxy S3 has an estimated 9 million pre-orders on more than 100 carriers around the globe. So what is the reason behind the Samsung Galaxy S3 being the fastest selling Android for pre-orders this year?

Why is the Samsung Galaxy S3 so popular? Its features

Well for starters there is the huge display which is 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display. The latest generation of smartphones are gravitating to bigger display and the 4.8-inch display comes in as the biggest, falling just below the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note that already dwells into tablet territory.

Next up is the quad-core Exynos processor. Unlike other quad-core processors such as the Tegra 3, the Exynos quad-core is built on newer architecture and dismisses many claims that dual-core chipsets are still better than quad-cores. Then there is the battery life on the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is backed by a 2,100mAh battery. This puts it just below the Samsung Galaxy Note ‘phablet’ once again and the smaller Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX.

Another thing that has many drooling is the fact that is comes with wireless charging thanks to a special charging system. Lastly we have the features ‘designed for humans’ i.e. S Voice, S Beam, Smart Stay, Face Detect, BuddyShare and a lot more.

At this time, the biggest rival to the Samsung Galaxy S3 appears to be the HTC One X, followed by the Apple iPhone 5 sometime later this year. So, have you pre-ordered one? Sound off in the comments below.
