Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 ICS Update Hits Asia

The home of Samsung, South Korea, has just been confirmed to begin receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the humungous Samsung Galaxy Note, following on the heels of Europe, of course.

Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update begins rolling out in Asia region

According to the folks over at Ubergizmo, the Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Premium Suite upgrade which was announced at the end of March can now be downloaded via Kies. The Premium Suite update packs other features over the standard issue Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, including special apps which will let you take advantage of the S-Pen to its maximum potential. The Samsung Galaxy Note Premium Suite that comes with S Note enables one to take down notes on the Galaxy Note in a jiffy and use functions like Shape and Formula Match, while My Story will enable you to create digital cards in a snap.

Unfortunately there is no word as to when the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note will get its taste of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The LTE capable AT&T Galaxy Note isn’t the same as the current GSM international model so if you happen to stumble upon its leaked ROM please don’t install it since it will likely brick your Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note boasts a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, front facing camera and S-Pen capabilities.
