Best Buy Marks HTC EVO 4G LTE Price Down By Whopping 500 Times, Low Unlocked Price Tag Falsely Gets Hopes Up

The HTC EVO 4G LTE is now the hottest Android smartphone on Sprint alongside the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Both these devices will likely retain their title until the Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone 5 make their debut on the third largest carrier in the US.

Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE unlocked price marked down to $100 at Best Buy in error

Now if you’re shopping around for the best price for a Sprint HTC EVo 4G LTE then nothing can beat Best Buy, well sort of. A recent error on Best Buy’s part to allow for the pre-order of the HTC EVO 4G LTE has the retail giant selling unlocked HTC EVO 4G LTE phones at just $100. That’s right, contract-free and only $100.

What’s even more hilarious is its regular price tag which Best Buy puts as a whopping $99,999. All these screw-ups aside however, Best Buy does in fact offer a $50 gift card upon activation if you pre-order the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE now.

Best Buy has since fixed the error (but not before we snagged as screenshot, see below). Here’s a refresher of its specs: 4.7-inch 1280×720 display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, NFC with Google Wallet support, kickstand and it comes preloaded with Android 4.0 with Sense 4.0 UI.
