If you live in the US and are waiting to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S3 then today must be a rollercoaster ride for you. After PocketNow reported of a possible Snapdragon Samsung DROID smartphone codenamed ‘Jasper’ headed to Verizon Wireless, rumors broke out that Verizon was yet again going to skip the flagship Galaxy S3 phone for an alternative.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 doubted but T-Mobile Galaxy S3 looks in the bag
While that rumor may have many Verizon users blue balled, here is something that may have the opposite effect for T-Mobile users. The official Samsung Kies software has gone ahead and listed the Samsung Galaxy S3. It appears that the official name will be Samsung GSIII and there are two variants listed already – GT-I9300 and the GT-I9300T.
Now the latter with a ‘T’ is believed to be a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 given that the T-Mobile Samsung Nexus S also went with a similar naming pattern – i9020t.
At this point everything is based on rumors so we suggest taking a breath and waiting to see what happens on May 3rd when Samsung finally unveils the Samsung Galaxy S3. We can then see the carrier dogfights begin.
