If you’re like me and been waiting for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to roll out for the US variants of the Samsung Galaxy S2, then you must know how annoying it is to be kept in the dark.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM available
With the international Samsung Galaxy S2 already receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, one would hope its not too far along. In the meantime, we have developers working on unofficial ICS ROMs for the US variants. One in particular which is called Phone-Bricker, (yes, the name doesn’t inspire much confidence but read on) appears to be put together by bits and pieces of other ICS ROMs and is quite stable for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2.
So if you’re looking for some Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich love for your AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2, albeit temporary, give this ROM a try. And if you’re wondering, there’s no word yet on a CM9 ICS ROM for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 just yet.
We’ll keep you posted as more develops. Hit the source link to head on over to the XDA Developers forums for the files and instructions.
