Upcoming Android Phones: iPhone 5 Not Only Superphone Worth Waiting For

If your contract is up and you are ready to dive into another two year commitment, it may be wise to hold off doing so just yet. iPhone 5 and upcoming Android phones worth waiting for

HTC One X: Starting off with the ‘quietly brilliant’ company, we have the flagship HTC One X which if rumors serve true may only be weeks away from release here in the US. The HTC One X boasts a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 4.6-inch 1,280 x 720-pixel Super LCD 2 display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p HD video calling, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 4G LTE and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 4.0.

Samsung Galaxy S3: Possibly the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2012, the rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy S3 read more like a wishlist than anything else. Boasting a new quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera, ceramic body, 4G LTE, NFC and a giant 4.8-inch HD display, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the Android phone to watch. A recent statement by Samsung suggests that the Korean manufacturer hopes to move the scheduled release date from May to April.

Motorola DROID Fighter: Rumored to hit Verizon by the end of April, the Motorola DROID Fighter is an upgraded version of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX. It boasts the same 3,300mAh battery but throws in a larger 4.6-inch HD display and ICS on-screen keys. In terms of design, it resembles the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX.

iPhone 5: The last one the list is the iPhone 5 which will more than likely outsell every other smartphone listed here. Just like with all new Apple products, details of it are kept under tight wraps and everything that is mentioned about it is strictly rumored. The word on the street is that it will feature a larger display over its predecessor, come with 4G LTE, utilize the 12-megapixel Sony camera sensor which was announced at the end of last year, and feature a redesigned body.
