Samsung DROID Charge Update Now Available: Installation Guide

The Samsung DROID Charge was one of the first few LTE smartphone on Verizon and gave the HTC Thunderbolt a run for its money. Now nearly a year since its official release, the Samsung DROID Charge has received an Android update. Unfortunately this isn’t the highly awaited Samsung DROID Charge Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update but it still has its benefits. So if you’re ready to update your DROID Charge, follow the instructions below.

Samsung DROID Charge Android update now available (not Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich)

First up, make sure your DROID Charge battery is charged up or if you’re connected to the wall charger. The update will run about 30 minutes. You will be notified of a system update, if not you can go to Settings >> About Phone and check to see if the update is available.

Once found, it is time to install. Choose to “Install Now” and “More Info” if you are interested to read abut what the update brings. Your device will power off and back on and the installation process will begin.

Once it is done, your Samsung DROID Charge will reboot automatically and you will see the new updates in place. Overall the installation was a very smooth process for us. Share you experience in the comments below
