Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 ICS Update Officially Pushed Back To Q2 Now

Here is some bad news for Samsung Galaxy Note users. Despite Samsung promising that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note would roll out in Q1 (which has just over a month left), Sammy seems to have had a change of heart.

Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update pushed to Q2

The Samsung Norway Facebook page has just announced that the Android 4.0 ICS update will be delayed until sometime in Q2. Now before you freak out though, let’s just remember all the Samsung announcement about the Samsung Galaxy S2 for the past few weeks which turned out to be a mistake. For all we know, Samsung may take back the statement just like they did the one made by their Filipino arm on the Android update for the S2 in a couple of days.

Now this of course means even further delays for the AT&T version of the update. On a side note, the recent release of the Android 4.0 ICS update has shown that the TouchWiz UI remains almost identical to the Gingerbread version and as such we may not see many cool effect from Android 4.0 transition into the Galaxy Note when it comes available. We’ll keep you posted as more develops folks.
