Just like with every other Apple product launch, there is also the issue with demand exceeding supply. And the new iPad 3 is no different. According to the Apple Store online, all new iPad 3 models are now shipping in 2 to 3 weeks only.

While Apple did mention the shipping delay on their website, those who don’t wish to order online can try queuing up outside stores as it will still be available on Friday in brick-and-mortar establishments. However the size of inventory still remains under wraps.
The new iPad 3 boasts a Retina Display, 4G LTE connectivity and a powerful GPU that outshines all other tablets on the market. Despite the improved hardware, the new iPad will retain the same price point as its predecessor, and starts at $499.
On a side note, the iPad 2 has been marked down by $100 and now sits at a base price of $399. So, did you place an order online for the new iPad? Or do you feel lucky and plan on queuing up this Friday to get one?
