Earlier yesterday, the Android Market was rebranded as Google Play. Alongside the rollout of the new name, the Android Market is having a sale on some of its most popular apps. We’re talking $0.49 for a whole bunch of the hottest apps for Android devices. Check out the full list below:
Android Market App sale now on (Google Play launch deal)
World Of Goo, Osmos HD, Sprinkle, Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals, TuneIn Radio Pro, Dead Space, mSecure – Password Manage, Quell Reflect, Endmondo Sports Tracker Pro, They Need To Be Fed, Swiftkey X Keyboard, Paper Camera, Camera Zoom FX, NFL Flick Quarterback, Business Calendar, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, I Just Forgot Little Critter, Asphalt 6, SoundHound, NOVA 2, Shadowgun, ZOOKEEPER DX TouchEdition, It’s Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Pocket League Story.
On a side note, if you don’t have the new Google Play app yet and haven’t received the prompt for the update, you can execute itself (apk file below). This should overwrite you current Android Market app.
We have no idea why the Android Market was changed to Google Play but don’t be surprised if big G decides to call Gmail, Google Docs and Analytics ‘Google Work’.
