$99 Android 4.0 ICS Tablet To Take On Kindle Fire [VIDEO]

Called the Ainol Novo 7 Paladin and headed to US shores very soon, this Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet is pretty much the best you can get for $99. That’s right, you heard it correctly. This is a sub-$100 tablet that is running the latest Android OS and its specs aren’t that bad either.

So what does the Novo 7 have to offer? It has a MIPS XBurst 1GHz CPU and includes front and rear cameras, 3D capability, 1080p video decoding, HDMI port, and 8 hours of battery life while watching video. It also boasts a multitouch-capable capacitive touchscreen and the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. According to the folks over at PCWorld, it is expected to be available in the US shortly via Leader International and OMG Electronics.

Now while we haven’t had a chance to test in ourselves, there are a couple of reviews on the Web from folks who were lucky. As can be seen, it has decent speakers, the screen is responsive albeit horrible viewing angles, and it officially has Google’s Android Market unlike other cheap Android tablet such as the Amazon Kindle Fire 2. Well enough chatter, check out the video below to see it in action.
