Samsung Jumps Gun, Unveils 2 New Galaxy Phones

While the Mobile World Congress event was a big day for the Samsung brand back in 2011, this time around the Korean electronics giant appears to be unveiling its products before and after the event.

Samsung announces Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2… Galaxy S3 still a mystery

After confirming that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would launch at a special event on a later date, Samsung has gone ahead and revealed two more Galaxy devices ahead of MWC 2012 – the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Mini 2.

Starting with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, it features an 800MHz dual-core processor, 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, HSPA, WiFi, 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and flash, VGA front-facing camera, GPS, Glonass, 1,500mAh battery and 768MB RAM.

Next up is the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 which boasts an 800MHz single-core chip, 3-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera, 3.27-inch HVGA touchscreen, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, 1,300mAh battery and 512MB RAM.

Both devices boast the usual Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headset jack, accelerometer, compass, proximity sensors, 4GB built-in storage that with microSD support, and will be offered with NFC in some markets. Both Android smartphones will launch in France first next month followed by other markets.
