4th Generation Honda CR-V Breaks Cover, Not A 7-Seater As Earlier Suspected

With almost 5 years under its belt, the third generation Honda CRV was due for a makeover. At the Tokyo Motor Show earlier this week, Honda fans finally got what they wanted as Honda revealed the 4th generation Honda CR-V.

The new 2012 Honda CR-V has just launched over in Japan in both 2L and 2.4L versions and as can be seen from the image below, that is not all that’s changed. The most obvious design change will no doubt be its new “hunchback” design that had us believing Honda would be extending the height of the cargo area to make room for a 3rd row. Unfortunately once inside, there is certainly more cubic feet of space but it will still seat five passengers only.

However there is a neat little trick that engineers have added to the 2012 Honda CR-V that will no doubt impress passengers. We’re not going to spoil it for you so just watch the video below to see what we mean.

On a side note,the new Honda CR-V will be upgraded from its 5-speed automatic to a CVT gearbox and both horsepower and torque remain unchanged. Well enough chatter, check out the new 2012 Honda CR-V below.
