Mahindra & Mahindra Tipped To Be Interested In Saab

While Saab may be officially bankrupt, it may still live on in other ways. After rumors of the Turkish government being interested in the Swedish company, come news that famous Indian SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra, may also be interested in buying a part of the dwindling brand.

According to sources who wish to remain anonymous because the plans are private, the makers of Scorpio are interested getting their hands on some of Saab’s technologies and their dealer networks.

Now Mahindra & Mahindra are not new to buying up bankrupt brands. It was just last year they bought a 70 percent stake in Ssangyong Motor Co for around $370 million, and even recently the Indian company bought out Renault’s stake in the Logan sedan joint venture.
