Xperia Z Ultra vs Galaxy Note 3: Two Oversized Smartphones Collide

Back in September last year, two supersized smartphones got released and they are the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Both devices have enjoyed great sales figures but between the two, which is better?

The Z Ultra arrived with a humungous 6.4” display that runs at 342ppi. This is really impressive for its size. However, it is still not as sharp as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The latter comes with a 5.7” display that runs at 386ppi. Also, the larger screen on the Z Ultra means that its 3050mAh battery will drain faster than the Note 3.

In terms of speed, the Note 3 is powered by the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. This is slightly faster than the Z Ultra, which runs on 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU.

Also, the Note 3 is equipped with 13MP rear and 2.1MP front cameras. This is also better than the 8MP and 2MP shooters on the Z Ultra.

By far, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the better device. It also comes with an S Pen that gives it tons of added functions. Then again, Sony is not far from producing a phablet that is better than the Galaxy Note series.
