Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 KitKat Release Date (Update)

After so much wait and eagerness, Samsung has finally commenced the rollout of the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS to its Galaxy S4 smartphone. Verizon will be proud to announce that it will be the first to offer the update to its S4 users with others following suit not long later.

If you’re an S4 user, you can start checking for the update by going through the Software Update option under the Settings menu on the device. The KitKat for the S4 will offer users improved camera features, better user interface, redesigned status icons, S feature tweaks, new menus, faster interface, improved battery life and smoother transitions.

Of course, those features are the standard giveaway. Verizon S4 users will get to enjoy its own perks which include change in Google+ photo, multi-windows support, Play Magazine that goes together with Play Newstand, Verizon Wallet, ISIS Wallet and Google Hangouts SMS support.

The updating of the Galaxy S4 will be done together with the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. Other devices that will be looking to get updated are the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3. The process will be completed before the end of June.
