Samsung Galaxy S5 Stock Shortage Possible After Force Majeure?

On papers, the Samsung Galaxy S5 look to be a major contender for this year’s Phone of the Year award. However, the Korean company is really worried that the S5 might just not make it in time for the April 11 release date.

This is following the combustion of a factory manufacturing printed circuit boards for the upcoming smartphone which happened last Sunday. The building somehow burst into flames and it took 287 firefighters to put it out.

Fortunately, the blaze was put to rest after 6 hours of fight and there are no injuries or death. However, the financial damage is done to the Korean company as an estimated amount of $1billion got eaten up in by the flames.

This is yet another bad spell for Samsung, which have been experiencing a series of unfortunate event. On the bright side, the worst has happened, which means that it will only get better for Samsung from now on. Besides, the hope is still strong for the Galaxy S5 to come on April 11.
