Wanxiang had launched a teaser poster which hints on the unveiling of a next-gen Fisker happening on April 15 next week and the car is also teased to come with a hybrid powertrain.
This is not another April Fools joke since Wanxiang specifically revealed that they will fully unveil the car on April 15. Now, the rumours are rife in suggesting that the next-gen Fisker is going to come with a hybrid powertrain.
While we may not be the one that is producing the next-gen Fisker, we feel that the car is better off as an EV. Wanxiang could perhaps shave the weight of the Fisker down to 1500kg to heighten the performance.
In addition to that, the Chinese firm can also consider for a full electric powertrain by getting a deal on tesla supercharger network. Together with the elimination of the quantum drivetrain, the Fisker EV can make a big entry with huge sales prospect instead of competing in a losing battle within the hybrid segment.
Of course, it is not up to us and there is no telling for sure on how the next-gen Fisker will be like. Perhaps, it is better to wait until April 15 next week before we can go into details with the Fisker.
