Ford Teams Up With Blackberry, Says Goodbye To Microsoft

What happens when a merging hits the end of the road? Well, in the case of Ford’s collaboration with Blackberry, we see that the former will move on away from its previous partnership with Microsoft. The carmaker will welcome Blackberry in developing the voice-recognition system, Sync 3.

Although Microsoft is still responsible for certain details, like current updates for the system and controlling the Wi-Fi connectivity, Blackberry will be handling future tasks definitely. Sync 3 is reportedly at its last stage of development, and is expected for a release next year.

Also worthy to note is the entire MyFord Touch system will be replaced by the new infotainment system, which is said to be debuting at the 2016 Lincoln and Ford vehicles. Stay tuned.
