Ford F-150 Electric Future Confirm, Just A Few Years Away

With fuel prices now dropping to an all time low, the future is still uncertain for hybrid and electric powered model but it looks like the fuel price will not be affecting Ford’s plan to come out with more electric powered models.

As the US and Europe emission regulations get stricter, automakers have to figure out a way to meet the new emission standard and more often than now, the most obvious option will be to go electric.

Mark Fields, Ford’s CEO has confirmed that they will offer a rear wheel drive hybrid truck in the future. How far in the future are we talking about? Well, he added that the hybrid truck will go on sale by 2020.

While it might please the green driver, some consumers seem to be skeptical about a hybrid power truck with many thinking that it will not be powerful enough for trucks like the Ford F-150.
