The IIHS crash test video for the 2016 Volkswagen Passat has already been released and by looking at it, you might want to adjust our seat perfectly before driving the Passat. The test shown here is the small overlap IIHS crash test for the Passat.
From the video, it looks like the passenger compartment of the video was able to withstand the crash. One thing that was plain to see what the test dummy knocking his head on the air vent when it missed the airbag.
While the dumpy will survive to do another test, the normal human might actually suffer a concussion from that knock. Some viewers are saying that it was because the driving position was wrong and that the driver was placed too far back leaving room for him to move away from the center of the airbag and miss it.
