2016 Nissan Maxima Review: More Luxury Than Sporty?

Nissan is currently distributing the latest generation Maxima and the vehicle is expected to be ready for purchase by next week or so. The thing is that the Maxima is classified as a sports sedan but when we entered the vehicle, it felt as if the Maxima is a luxury saloon.

This is because of the spacious interior and high-end finishing Nissan offers inside the all-new Maxima. For example, both the steering and the gear shaft are wrapped in leather. The floating-roof to made the Maxima feels expensive and this made us confuse on whether the sedan is a luxury built or a sporty built.

Well, the confusion went away the moment we started driving the Maxima. This is because the V6 engine it runs on performed splendidly. It basically allows the Maxima to generate a whopping 300hp.

The Nissan Maxima is also light in weight as it manage to shed off 82 pounds from the previous model. The only thing we find worrying with the Maxima is with its CVT transmission. CVT gearbox are really useful but it fails when it comes to offering drivers some thrill.

If Nissan are to offer the Maxima with traditional manual, we will not have any beef with the car. Regardless, the latest Nissan Maxima is still the hottest sports sedan right now.
