2015 Nissan X-Trail Facelift: Are You Sure It’s Not The Qashqai?

The last Indonesia International Motor Show became the launching for the all-new Nissan X-Trail Facelift and it is definitely an SUV not to be missed. Unlike its predecessors, the latest X-Trail looks a lot like the Nissan Qashqai.

In detail, the X-Trail facelift comes with that all-familiar “V-motion” grille, slim headlights, D-pillar kink and C-shaped tail lights. The X-Trail can be easily described as the stretched version of the Qashqai.

As for the interior, Nissan ported the design and layout of the Teana into the all-new X-Trail. There are 7 passenger seats in total but it is better to view it as 5+2 seats since the third row is very stingy with space.

There are two different engines offered with the X-Trail facelift. The first is a 2L engine that offers 144PS and 200Nm of torque, and the second is a 2.5L MPI engine that develops 171PS and 233Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to Xtronic CVT transmission. However, Nissan is also offering a 6-speed manual gearbox for the 2L motor.

The X-Trail facelift is also packed with so many features that are customizable by the consumers too. Among them includes LED daytime running lights, auto headlamps, auto wipers, heated door mirrors, keyless entry, push-button start, power-operated front seats and Active Ride Control.

Of course, prices vary for each and every package picked up with the X-Trail Facelift. Nevertheless, the standard retail price for the base model is revealed to be at IRP. 383 million and capped at IRP. 431.5 million.
