2015 Nissan Murano Review: Flaunting A New Look

It was a quiet year for Nissan back in 2014 but this year, things are about to get loud as the Japanese carmaker aims to launch plenty of new vehicles. Among them is the third-generation Murano and today, we got a sneak peek at the SUV.

The first thing we learned about the Murano is the fact that it will come in four trim levels. They are discovered to be S, SV, SL and Platinum. Also, the trims are offered with AWD or FWD and prices starts from $29,560 and are capped at $40,600. Fuel consumption for the Murano is quoted to return 21/28/24mpg in city/highway/combined driving conditions.

The design of the third-gen Murano too has changed. The upcoming vehicle sports boomerang-shaped headlight and taillight disclosure a newly refined grille, and assertive, muscular body side bends. The wheels are sized at 18” to 20”, depending on the trim level.

Under the hood, the Murano runs on a 3.5L V6 engine that is mated to a CVT transmission. This develops 260hp and 240ft-lbs of torque. Also, it confirms that the Murano is going to drive exceptionally well and comfort is bliss as the interior is made to appear like a social lounge.

Of course, it is still too early to speak of the Nissan Murano as it is still not released yet. The mid-size crossover is said to arrive in the coming months and only then will we on how it stands when compared to rivals like the Ford Edge and Toyota Venza.
