2015 Ford Focus RS US Release Date Confirmed

Over the last couple of months, there has been a huge controversy with the upcoming Ford Focus RS as reports claim that the car won’t be released in the US. Earlier today, we received further clarification on the matter and it shares a different outcome.

Ford’s CEO Mark Fields announced that the Focus RS is important for the company as it signifies their approach to offer the best performance around. The lad added that the Focus RS will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show that is due to happen in January.

Just from this statement alone, we can safely assume that the Focus RS will indeed come to the US. After all, Ford never unveils a car that is not coming to its home market in the US. With the Focus RS coming to light at Detroit, it makes it all the more certain for a local release.

When the Ford Focus RS arrives, fans can expect it to run on a 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that is tuned to generate 325 to 350hp. Obviously, it will seat above the Ford Focus ST that comes with 252hp.
