2014 Honda Accord Review: Something Different Alas!

The Accord has long existed as one of the most practical and reliable mid-size sedan produced by Honda. Now, there is a new Accord running on the road and it offers some improvements to its driving mechanics.

We got behind the wheel of the new Accord and it does offer something more than its predecessor. The car is now sharper and more responsive as it behaves tremendously well when cruising or taking on the bendy roads.

The Accord comes in multiple trim levels which consist of two petrol and one diesel engine options. We tested the 2.2L i-DTEC engine and it served us well. The Accord generates 180hp and 280lb-fts of torque while also returning 50mpg of fuel consumption.

It gets more impressive as the diesel mill is able to sprint from 0-62mph in just 8.8 seconds and there is a top speed of 136mph.

Inside the Accord, everything is kept neat and tidy. However, the narrower measurements on the Accord meant that space has been reduced for the passengers. The again, the cargo space is larger thanks to the more careful design.

Of course, the Accord isn’t a cheap D-segment vehicle to own. The model we tested retails at £30,050. On the other hand, the fuel economy will save consumers a lot of money in the long run.
