The answer to the title above is yes. Even though launching the next-gen Focus RS in the US can be bad for business due to the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and Mustang, Ford will still proceed with it regardless.
This is pretty obvious as the Focus has a great history not just in the US, but also on the global scale. It is basically one of America’s brightest creations and it is only right if the Focus line of vehicles get treated with a new RS model to lead the pack.
Failing to do so will only risk putting the profit-hunter label on Ford and this can definitely hurt the company’s strong image as a passionate carmaker.
