Rumours are rife in claiming that the next-generation Ford Focus RS won’t be making its debut here in the US and it is because of the overpopulated performance-segment within Ford.
In detail, the rumours believe that the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and the Ford Mustang will see the carmaker not launching the Focus RS here in the US since it will only be bad for business.
Well, the rumours have got a point but it is unlikely to come true. The next-gen Focus RS will no doubt get launched here in the US and this is because of the prestigious family it comes from.
The Focus is recognized on a global scale as one of America’s finest hatchbacks and to the locals, it is viewed as a national motoring icon. This is why it is important for Ford to launch the Focus RS here in the US, even if the prospect of great sales is poor.
Failing to do so will only tarnish Ford’s reputation as a profit hunter instead of a passionate automotive manufacturer. Clearly, Ford wouldn’t want that to happen and thus, this will see the Focus RS getting released in the US.
