Rumours are rife in suggesting that the next-generation Focus RS won’t be making its debut here in the US. Well, we feel otherwise and we believe that the Focus RS will be available from New York, all the way to Los Angeles.
Even if Ford’s performance market is already crowded with the Lincoln MKC and the Mustang, there is no doubt that the carmaker will still sell the Focus RS here in the US. This is due to Ford’s aggressiveness that will definitely see the Focus RS enjoying a local debut.
The other obvious reason is because of the Focus stature. The hatchback is one of Ford’s most popular and bestselling vehicles in history. This justifies the need for the RS model getting released on every part of the world.
When the Focus RS arrive, we can expect it to run on the newly developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine with 350hp to offer. Then again, this will require confirmation from Ford.
