The Mass Effect trilogy has certainly made a name for itself as one of the best gaming series around. The intense storyline, interactive gameplay and vast universe strongly appealed the gamers. However, the past shall remain in the past as both players and Bioware looks ahead to Mass Effect 4.
This upcoming fourth sequel is currently in development. Before the fans gets to buzz about the game, Bioware revealed that Commander Shepard and his cronies has been retired from the franchise and will not partake in Mass Effect 4.
Following the announcement, fans have been in excitement since Mass Effect 4 will start on a new adventure with a new protagonist to play with. On the other hand, they are equally sad as Shepard is no longer around.
The axing of Shepard worries the fan as the Mass Effect community fears for the many changes coming to Mass Effect 4. Bioware was quick to anticipate this and assures the fans that Mass Effect’s gameplay will be preserved in this next sequel. In fact, the game will take place in the same universe.
The fans are definitely delighted upon knowing that. Since Mass Effect 4 will take place in the same universe, fans are wondering whether it will be set before, during or after Shepard’s era.
A prequel might be easier to create but there won’t be any elements of surprise as fans already know the outcome. It is best if Bioware set the game far into the future where there is no longer a way of ruling.
Nevertheless, there is no denying that Mass Effect 4 carries a lot of potential. Fans will know for sure, once Bioware let out more information on this highly anticipated title.
