The silence is broken. Rockstar has finally stepped out of the shadows and launch a strong warning to the hackers and cheaters that have been plaguing GTA Online.
The game developer revealed that they are developing a patch that will see an end to the hackers. These small handfuls of players have totally destroyed GTA Online’s economy by gifting players millions and billions of hacked GTA Dollars. With this upcoming patch, the hackers will be taken out and automatically be banned from the public servers.
Aside from apprehending the guilty party, Rockstar’s upcoming patch update will be looking to restore GTA Online back to its original state. It is unsure on how the patch will work but one thing is for certain and it is that the tons of illegal money will definitely be confiscated.
Rockstar is also calling for support from the GTA community. Any player who spotted a cheater can report them over at GTA Online’s pause menu.
Upon learning this, the players will certainly be at a state of unrest as their wealth will be stripped away from their account. As for the purchases made with the hacked money, there is no telling on how Rockstar will address them. If we had to guess, they will take it away just like they did last month with the original patch which was aimed at hackers.
