Apple made a grave mistake in unveiling the iPhone 5c. At least that is how TechRadar views it. The iPhone 5c was touted to be a disgrace to the entire wellbeing of the company. Apple’s colourful collection of iPhone is not even supposed to enter the market. The company should just have maintaining the existence of the iPhone 5.
Why is that so?
According to TechRadar, Apple is well known to produce highly exclusive and prestigious products and the iPhone 5c contradicts that. It is dubbed to be a rotten Apple or better yet, crayon’s barf says the blog. The demand has been disappointing even since its launch day. While it looks like an attempt to grow more flexible in the market, it is simply a failure.
Price is part of the problem too. Some group of people actually spend their months’ worth of savings just to get an iPhone. It will really disappoint them to pay so much and get something that has nothing we know from Apple. It has been growing to be a habit for the company. One case that everyone can relate back is the iPad Mini. A lot of money was spent on the launch and you only find yourself a smaller frame iPad 2.
It has always been against Steve Job’s philosophy which derided the idea of a cheap iPhone. Well, ever since Tim Cook took over, Apple wants to get involved in the low-end market too. Tim Cook fails to understand that consumers don’t want iPhone for the cheap or feels cheap.
It is also safe to assume that Apple launched the iPhone half-heartedly. Evidence points that it is true since the 5c don’t have any new features other than being crayoned all over.
All in all, it is best if Tim Cook realize this. If not, we might see a different Apple in years to come.
