It has only been a couple of days since we witness Google’s Nexus 5 making its debut in the market along with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone has been a huge hype over the blogosphere that build on until the device is released. Let us see how the Nexus 5 fare in terms of its specs, putting it with the also quite new, Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Both the Nexus 5 and the Note 3 runs on the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip processor with 2GB of RAM and 3GB of RAM respectively. However, Note 3 has another quad core processor that acts as a supplement to the first. It must also be taken into account that the Note 3 is huge thus needing 2 processors to support it. Both devices are able to perform heavy tasks. It doesn’t look so bad for the Nexus 5.
Again, both devices have the same graphics chip (GPU) called the Adreno 330. In terms of storage, the Nexus 5 comes in 16GB and 32GB variants while the Note 3 offers up to 64GB of storage with expandable memory. Samsung’s phablet offers a 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera as compared to 8MP rear and 2.1MP front of the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 also have a rather small battery capacity of 2300mAh compared to the Note 3 whopping 3200 mAh. On the other hand, power consumption does differ.
So the Nexus 5 can simply be put as a satisfying device as compared to its gigantic, much more powerful and well-equipped counterpart.
