The Subaru WRX STi used to be on the top but is the new rivals too strong for the Subaru WRX STi to handle?
The Subaru WRX STi will be coming in with a 305hp engine that will push out about 290lb ft of torque. The engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. While the numbers are not bad, it does not look like it will be enough if they planned to take on models like the Ford Focus RS.
The Ford Focus RS will be coming in with a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine that will be delivering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Subaru WRX STi will return about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway. It will need 4.7 seconds to go from 0-60mph with a top speed of 159mph while the Ford Focus RS will return about 20mpg in the city and 29mpg on the highway, need 4.6 seconds to go from 0-60mph and has a top speed of 165mph.
The Subaru WRX STi will retail for $35,490 while the Ford Focus RS will retail for $36,605.
