There have been some very interesting leaked pictures that are claimed to be the anticipated Samsung Google Nexus tablet. The tablet, which is of medium size, could be likened to the recently released Samsung Galaxy S3 but just a giant version in terms of overall design (see below). The rumors are ride that development is underway by Google of the Tegra 3 tablet, which is to be quad core, with a 7 inch screen and Android 4.0. This is supposed to be a competitor to the Kindle Fire and Galaxy Tab. It is PhoneArena that has leaked the images and the photos are rumored to have been taken from a PC screen, and are meant to be drafts of press images. From the front of the device, the likeness to the Samsung Galaxy S3 is most apparent, with its glossy white appearance, curved body and camera at the front alongside some light sensors.

In the photos it also appears as though the tablet has an earpiece on it, though we are unsure as to why this would be on a tablet. Some suggest that it may be meant to be used like an actual phone, next to the head. We are also unsure at this point whether there will actually be a SIM card slot which would allow users to call from the tablet to phones.
The photos are not of great quality so it is difficult to speculate properly, but from what we can see, the phone appears to be lacking a home button. We hear that the device may be titled the Google Nexus Slate, and the rear of the device will be two tone in colour, with aluminum on the bottom ¾ of the device, and the top being plastic, allowing for 3G and 4G signals.
Also located on the back is a camera with what seems to be quite a big lens. People are expecting the tablet to be powered by the Tegra 3 CPU and be in possession of 1GB RAM, though it may run on a similar chip to lower the cost of the device. Another rumor is that the device may have Android 4.0 OS (shortly to be Android 4.1 aka Jellybean) which will include Google Maps and possible Google Earth and street view. This was mentioned in a San Francisco press conference, where Google said they will try to be less basic and add more 3D into their smartphone map applications. Stay posted for updates.
