Xbox One DX 12 Speed Doubling Claims Chuckled At

It seems that whatever Microsoft do in the gaming industry appears to backfire on the company. The US tech giant has been in its poorest state ever since the Xbox One was launched. There has been so much criticism thrown at Microsoft for the underpowered next-gen console.

Recently, Microsoft attempted to improve the Xbox One by launching the DirectX 12 which was announced during this year’s BUILD conference. The CEO of Stardock, Brad Wardell, attempted to boost the Xbox One’s morale by praising the DX12.

Brad revealed on Twitter that the DX12 will double the speed of the Xbox One’s GPU which makes games run faster. The Tweet became a laughing stock from many developers worldwide, particularly those from Sony.

SCE’s R&D PhyreEngine programmer, Rich Foster, Tweeted that such a thing will only overheat the Xbox One. This was continued with PS4 ICE Team programmer who claims that it is possible to do so. However, Cort Stratton is scrutinized at the ability of the DX12 being able to pull it off. Cort further warned gamers against believing things entirely and calls for them to demand for details.

However, Microsoft’s very own Billy O’Neal supported the Tweet and claims that both the Xbox One and PS4 have their own weaknesses in the CPU cores. The lad added that it is the reason why Microsoft is optimizing its console with the DX12.

With all this scrutinises on the DX12, it is unsure if Xbox One users should be excited for it. Nevertheless, they will find that out for sure when DX12 gets released in 2015.
