Think The Toyota Prius Doesn’t Look Nice? These Folks Can Solve That Problem

This video is too sweet to not share. Toyota’s sweet little Aqua, here known as the Prius C, is our hero. The small vehicle is adorable however our sweet heroine is not particularly keen on adorable vehicles and shows no interest. Sport cars are her thing. The lovely T230 Celica is noticed.

Aqua goes to G’s Ggym feeling upset and to attempt to muscle up and be more manly. Over at the car gym, he is put through a tough training regime to increase his muscles and make his answers sharper. Iit is very difficult though and he nearly gives up, however an angel turns up along with a kiss of life.

With a new lease of life, Aqua stops training and and leaves the gym feeling like a new man. With his new sharp look he is soon noticed by our lovely jogger. Hero wins the girl and drives off into the sunset.

It may be cheesy, but it is quite amusing too. And in case you are wondering like I was, the coach in G’s Gym is indeed Kamui Kobayashi of F1 fame.

The video is a promotion for the new Toyota G’s Aqua which is a sporty edition of the hybrid hatch tuned by motorsports arm Gazoo Racing. It’s angry face comes with horizontal chrome bars on a large grill, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and LED fog lamps. The headlamps are LEDs as well.

Side skirts and “gills” on the front wings with “G’s” and “Hybrid” badges spruce up the flanks. The rear end receives a stocky bumper with a diffuser-style element and new tail lamp details. The tailgate has a “G’s” emblem on it as well, but this eco-friendly vehicle has no visible tail pipes on it. The exterior package is completed with 17-inch five twin-spoke alloys (in a choice of dual-tone or grey) with 195/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres.

On the inside, the cabin of the vehicle has sporty elements such as piano black trim, faux leather with stitching on the dashboard, red rather than blue gearknob and push start button (along with G’s logo), sports seats, unique AC knob and aluminium pedals, and more.

It’s not just the vehicle’s appearance though. The gym work provides sports suspension with a 25 mm reduced ride height, together with a variety of underbody bracing and extra spot welding point to make it more rigid. Unfortunately the power has not been increased. The Aqua is powered by a 1NZ-FXE 1.5 litre engine with 74 PS/111 Nm, together with an electric motor with 69 PS/169 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels by a CVT gearbox.
