Samsung Galaxy S3 KitKat Update Isn’t Canceled Yet Apparently

The old Samsung Galaxy S3 might have no place in today’s world. Previously, Samsung said that the S3 will get the latest Android 4.4 KitKat update. However, it got cancelled halfway. Now a new leak suggests that the KitKat update will take place.

The leak revealed that the KitKat is still being developed and there is no telling on when it will roll out. If this is true, then the Galaxy S3 will be joining the likes of the S3 Mini and the Galaxy S4 zoom in getting the KitKat update.

Aside from that, the Korean phone vendor has already revealed that the KitKat will arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

Then there is the tablet segment from Samsung. Both the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and the Galaxy Note 8 tablets is also lined up for the update.

At the moment, the KitKat is being rolled out to the Galaxy S4 and Note 3. It is expected that the Galaxy S3 will be last in the pecking order to receive the Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS.
