Unlike most other smartphone manufacturers, Samsung prefers to take their own sweet time in offering the Android 5.0 Lollipop to their smartphone users. Both LG and HTC are already busy updating their respective devices and soon, Samsung will be joining the party.
While there is no clear indication on the matter, a Samsung employee shared that the first updates will be beginning in early February next week. The Android 5.0 Lollipop will be pushed out first to the Samsung Galaxy S5 before reaching out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note 3 and S4.
Following that, Samsung will be pushing out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its mid-tier devices, before giving its undivided attention to its tablets.
Of course, there is no telling on how legit the Samsung insider is so it is still best to take this with a pinch of salt. Regardless, Samsung users should look forward until next week and see if an update is being rolled out or not.
