Nissan Now Has Another Assembly Plant In Indonesia

With this new facility, Nissan will increase the production output of its vehicles from 100,000 units annually to a whopping 250,000 units. The plant also did a service to Indonesia by creating 3,000 jobs. The facility is completed with a body assembly line, paint and trim shops.

Now that it is opened, Nissan will commence on the development of Datsun vehicles exclusively for the nation. Both the Datsun GO and the GO+ MPV will be the first models to be created in the facility. The entry level Datsun is expected to cost 100 million Rupiah.

It is more good news for Nissan as the company has been granted the licence that gives it the rights to be part of the Low Cost Green Car programme.
