The buzz on Kingdom Hearts 3 is now louder than ever and this is thanks to a new trailer that has been released at E3. The latest trailer saw Xehanort playing chess with an unrecognized yet familiar character.
I don’t wish to discuss on who the mysterious character is as the more intriguing bit is with the narration on the trailer. If you are to listen closely, you will hear the quote ‘The War in that place will lead to the defeat and destruction of the light. The world will be enveloped in eternal darkness’.
The thing is that this statement came from Foreteller’s prophecy, written in the Book of Prophecies. It then hit me that Xehanort conquest is meant to end the era of light. For so long already, light has dominated the Kingdom Hearts world. By right, there has to be a balance between light and dark.
With the final battle between Sora and Xehanort taking place in Kingdom Hearts 3, the game could end up seeing Xehanort losing but the total war will see the loss of the light side. I somehow believe that this outcome is going to come true simply because of the prophecy.
If this is to happen, then there will definitely be a plot being made ready for Kingdom Hearts 4. Sora will still be the protagonist and he will work to ensure light is superior to dark. What do you think?
