It was only September last year when both the iPhone 5s & 5c got launched and prices for both devices have been going down the charts ever since. Today, both the iPhone 5s & 5c are relatively affordable and consumers can get them for a steal.
Walmart is selling away the iPhone 5c for just $27 instead of $99. This deal is only applicable with a 2 years contract.
It is 2014 now and we have passed the holiday season back in December last year. While it is common to see the price plummet during the festive period but going lower than what was offered on an average month is something that leaves everyone scratching their heads.
During the Christmas period, Walmart was selling the iPhone 5c at $45 which is almost twice as much as how it is priced at the moment.
As for the iPhone 5s, it is selling at $127 instead of the usual $199. Over to the tablets, the iPad Mini 16GB charges consumers $299 and comes with a $50 gift card.
It isn’t just with Walmarts. Other retailers like BestBuy and Mac Mall are into it as well. The latter has the best offer for the iPhone 5S. The 32GB is going away for a mere $120 whereas the 16GB variants have a price tag of $20.
It is not like these retailers are putting up offers at their own free will. Apple is known to control the pricing of its product. Despite that fact, it is a wonder why the phone-vendor is gradually decreasing the prices of these devices.
Tech-savvy forums have been hinting that there will be an early iPhone 6 launch. This could be why Apple is giving away the iPhone 5S and 5C for a bargain. Based on previous iPhone release patterns, it is true that whenever a successor is about to hit stores, the existing iPhones will often get a massive price cut.
Nevertheless, this sale is only for the benefit of the consumer. As for the iPhone 6, it is rumoured to come with a larger curved display with the famous fingerprint scanner. Consumers can expect it to run on a 64-bit processor as seen on the latest crops of devices from Apple.
