GTA 5: PS4 & Xbox One Ain’t Take Two’s Problem… Right Now

When fans found out that GTA 5 wasn’t going to be shown at the E3 this year they were disappointed to say the least. However Take Two were not worried as they had all the confidence in the world that the game would be popular. They said that sales figures of GTA 5 would not be affected by the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One and as it turns out they were absolutely correct.

GTA 5 hasn’t been announced for the Xbox One and PS4 and this was something that did surprise many fans. After all the game would look outstanding on the next gen consoles. However fans who have been playing GTA 5 on the Xbox 360 and PS3 will tell you that the game looks superb, I for one think it’s the best GTA to have been released to date. Take Two said that they though it would arrive on the Xbox One and PS4 at some point.

The CEO of Take Two, Strauss Zelnick told MCV that he was not worried about the next gen consoles as he didn’t think that their arrival would affect sales of GTA 5. He went on to say that the base for the consoles stands at around 120 million and that most people would get the game as soon as it came out, which they did.

Zenick said that fans of the game had been waiting for many years for its arrival and nothing would stop them from getting it, even though GTA 5 came out on the same day as the Xbox One and PS4 over in the US.

We cannot blame Rockstar and Take Two for wanting to keep the game on the current gen consoles, but we hope that it does come to the next gen as it would look superb.
