Do Android Handsets Dream of Delayed 4.3 Updates? The Galaxy S3 & Note 2 Do

The Android 4.3 for Samsung Galaxy S3 that had been rolling out last week had been halted by Samsung. This was due to the problems users had been facing while trying to apply the update.

According to Phones Review the Android 4.3 update will be held back until further notice from Samsung. The hold back means the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also affected.

Samsung Galaxy S3 owners had been reporting that their device had become unresponsive after applying the update. On top of that, their battery life had been cut short so much that it’s unbearable. Some owners reported that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would hang and the only way to fix it was by pulling out its battery. Other than that was just some problem with the Wi-Fi connection.

Up until today, other than the news of the halted update, Samsung had not said anything else on the update. Nobody knows if the update would be resumed or if the update would be cancelled out and replace with the Android 4.4 KitKat. There had been some rumours that Samsung is currently working on the Android 4.4 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the standing next in line was the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. However, there is no telling when this might happen.

If Samsung would just jump to the Android 4.4 KitKat for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I bet the owners wouldn’t mind waiting a little bit more. Right? I mean, who wants the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update anymore? It had become… outdated. Let’s go for KitKat!
