It has been more than a decade since Valve released Half Life 2 and fans are desperate for a third sequel to the highly successful franchise. Despite that fact, the game developer has been ignoring and avoiding any queries related to Half Life 3.
Well, that is until last week when Valve co-founder, Gabe Newell, broke his silence on the subject to address the keen fans. The lad revealed that he was surprised by Half Life 3’s popularity. Gabe acknowledged the fact that fans want Half Life 3. On the other hand, Gabe insisted that Half Life 3 won’t be stepping into production soon.
Fans shouldn’t be gutted by Gabe’s comments. Instead, they should look at the bright side of things. There is only one point to take home and that is the fact that Gabe did not deny Half Life 3 from its production. The game will surely be developed in the future to come.
On the down side of things, no timeframe was given on when that will happen. Some insiders have been hinting that Half Life 3 will only make its debut in 2016.
